What this site stores, and for how long
Checks are kept for 30 days so shared links work, then deleted along with their screenshots. Nothing is tied to your identity.
When you run a check
Submitting a URL causes this site to request that page twice — once as a plain HTTP request and once in a headless browser — and compare the results. To make the result shareable, the following is stored:
The URL you submitted, the verdict, the measured counts and ratios, the detected framework, the HTTP status, and a screenshot of the rendered page. Each record gets a random identifier used for its shareable link.
No account is needed to use the tool, and nothing stored is attached to your identity. The record is linked to the URL you checked, not to you.
How long it's kept
Thirty days. After that the record and its screenshot are permanently deleted, and any shareable link pointing to it stops working. Cleanup runs automatically.
Anyone holding a shareable link can view that result for those 30 days. The identifiers are random and not listed anywhere, so results aren't browsable or enumerable — but a link is not a password. Treat it as semi-public and avoid sharing links to checks of private staging environments or internal tools.
Aggregate statistics
Counts derived from checks — how many sites use a given framework, how verdicts are distributed — may be published as aggregate statistics or research. These are numbers only. Individual URLs are not published unless they are already public and chosen deliberately for a curated report page.
Cookies and tracking
One item of local storage is used today: your light or dark theme preference, so the site doesn't flash the wrong theme when it loads. It stays in your browser and is never transmitted anywhere.
There is no analytics platform on the site at present, and nothing currently follows you to other sites. If advertising or analytics is introduced later, this page will be updated to describe exactly what is set and why, and consent will be requested where the law requires it.
Server logs
Like any web server, this one records requests — IP address, timestamp, requested path, user agent — for security and to diagnose faults. These are standard operational logs, not analytics, and are not used to build a profile of you.
Third parties
When a site blocks the initial request, the check may be retried through a proxy provider so the tool can still return a result. Only the URL being checked passes through it — nothing about you.
Fonts are served from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests them from Google's servers. Nothing else on this site currently loads from a third party.
If you email through the contact page, that message goes to a standard email inbox and is kept as long as needed to respond and to maintain a record of the conversation.
Your choices
Because nothing is tied to an identity, there is no profile to export and no account to close. If you want a specific check result removed before its 30 days are up, send the shareable link to hello@ssrchecker.com and it will be deleted.
Depending on where you live you may have additional rights over personal data. Contact the address above and they will be honoured.
Children
This is a technical tool for website owners and developers. It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this page
If the data practices change, this page changes with them and the date at the top is updated. Material changes will be noted on the site rather than made quietly.
